There are three major benefits that I discuss (first ~12 minutes):
(1) skill development
(2) financial stability
(3) socializing

But I also discuss how working might interact with your program of study, and when might be an ideal time in your program to *not* work if it can be avoided (last ~12 minutes).

Some things I missed, or did not touch on that much:
(1) working a job can cause stress that impacts your studies
(2) many jobs require different skillsets than graduate school, and you might find yourself comparing your performance in one vs. another
